Farewell 2012 — Lets Change the World Now.

[ Last Year ]
Was an amazing year of order, transition and repair.

Beginning the year with God in mind was the crescendo to seeing Him show up and show out. My previous optical prescription has been amplified geographically, socially, and spiritually.

My Sincerest Thanks to those who take the time to read this little blog of mine.

[Geographically] In 2012 I’ve been graced opportunity. Opportunity to trek deep mines of Missouri, caressing age old walls of limestone and calcium. Opportunity to inhale autumn air on Illinois’ highest peaks and overlooks. Opportunity to kick the tides of lakes that dot Michigan’s landscape.  I boast only in God, in thanks of the breathtaking, beautiful world we are given.

[Socially]

I’ve met some incredible people in incredible places such as the IRS, the produce section, hicktown gas stations, even roadsides! Many whom I still contact inspire me with their life stories. These, acquaintances are like little booklets; small stories that seem to be canonical to mine through Christ. Stories of heartache, abandonment, deliverance, and success, one tale after the next of an underdog, fighting the tide of a hurting world.  I thank God for you, His creation, and I really hope I can be an inspiration to you someday.

[Spiritually]
James 5:16 speaks of the effectual, fervent prayers of the righteous availing much. I’m not saying I’m righteous by any means, yet thankfully Christ’s shed blood covers my life.

What I CAN give praise to God for, are the many blessings He’s poured out upon my family and companions. New jobs, divine healing, salvation even freedom from bondages. Perhaps these things are obvious, and perhaps unbeknownst to the recipient, “but if any man glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”

So that’s that! Some of my favorite highlights from last year.
My belt is strapped for 2013, saturated in Prayer, Praise, Prosperity and Proper Perception.

Friends, Family, and Tumblrs! Thank you for a pretty keen year.
and remember:

Brown Elevator

I went to the hospital today;  Invigorating yet familiar experience.

I thumbed for floor 8 clutching a small packet of papers. I looked to my right and left prepared to go up alone.  Just as soon as the door opened, droves of “everyday folks”, filled my average elevator. Three, Five, Seven plus me, as human sardines. I began to wonder why we all were here.

….Silence….

I locked eyes with an older man in a tweed cap, he looks away slowly to his corner of solitude. The woman in green, red lips, blonde hair, spy’s my eye and smiles, but quickly reverts to her personal solace.
“They must be sick too,” I thought “but yet I see no visible signs? No coughs, sniffles, wheelchairs, spots, scars, bandages, or hands stuck in a pickle jar.
Just…. Sick Normal people, and a thick, awkward air of tension.”

We’re all here for a reason; we’re all hurting, wounded and in need of care hope and peace. ”The turmoil I feel inside probably pales in comparison to his or what about her’s.” I thought. “You know what? This elevator is like a tiny church… we’ve all come from diverse places, with diverse needs, in search of a healer.”

I can’t really judge what someone’s going through from the outside appearance, so the question I ask myself when I see a brother or sister in church is:
“I wonder why you came today.”
Surely there’s a reason…

Perhaps the man in tweed or the lady in green pondered the same…
