Crossword Christianity
My King confounded multitudes with His cross words.
They weren’t dross words, eloquent or false words.
He said “Forgive Them” but we live as if we’ve not heard
Like it’s a game, boyish ways have made us absurd.
The sour wine was given, now our wine is living
inside. My provision is Thine. I’m forgiven!
I’m so blessed to be covered and stained
He bled from his hands; never once in vain.
For all the hate that we’ve hidden he was our hang-man,
Erasing pain, that can lock us up in shame, and
brought us to blessed perfection to heal our vain land.
Christ made it plain, now He reigns at the right hand.
The Bread of Life was broken, so now my heart is spoken
for. Heaven’s earth-collision declaring I’m forgiven!
I’m so blessed that to be covered and stained
He bled from His hands, never once in vain.
My King of Hearts departed to open paradise,
so why consider to gamble it like pair of dice?
The hand was dealt, fear was felt, when the veil was sliced
Sweet breath ascended, and mended the path from broken life.
